This week, Tina is joined by Tom and Ben from the Just Some Podcast for Advanced Practice Nurses podcast. Together, they tell the story of Dr. Richard Schmidt. This is a story that was featured on an episode of Forensic Files. Back in the early nineties, Schmidt developed a relationship with Janice Trahan, a nurse at the hospital where he worked. The problem was both of them were married. They both agreed to leave their respective spouses. Janice followed through with that plan, but Schmidt did not. He wanted to continue the relationship with her, but Janice decided to break things off. This set in motion a series of events that no one could have possibly predicted. They close the show with one of the most heartwarming stories ever talked about on the show. The good doctors are dermatologists who helped a young boy after he was mauled by a German Shepherd while saving his little sister.

This week, Tina is joined by nurses Hanna and Kristen, the hosts of a new podcast called Nurses In The Know. Together, they tell you the incredibly sad and disturbing story of an army medic who decided to go to medical school and became a surgeon. In 2011, he met a wonderful young single mother, Jackie Wisniewski, who was working as a medical receptionist while going to nursing school. They moved in together and everything seemed to be picture-perfect on the outside. But things are rarely as good as they seem. It all started to unravel when Jackie tried to leave the relationship.

This week, Tina and David from the Nurse Papa podcast give you their take on the very popular podcast, The Shrink Next Door. This story takes place over thirty years and involves a psychiatrist from New York who is accused of questionable therapy practices and getting a little too close to his patients. It turns out, one of his patients is particularly vulnerable to his style of therapy.
They end the show with a discussion about a video that has gone viral of a nurse singing with a patient. However, this is not just any patient, she is a musical theatre major and amazingly talented. Nurse David Duckett from Duke University was the nurse in the video, and he agreed to come on the show for an interview. He and Tina talk about the importance of knowing your "why" in order to get through difficult times as a nurse. You will love David's passion for nursing and be amazed by his beautiful voice as well.
