Another Good Respiratory Therapist Bad Respiratory Therapist
Thursday Apr 15, 2021
Thursday Apr 15, 2021
***Trigger warning: This episode has elements of child sexual abuse.
This week, Tina is joined by Megan, a respiratory therapist and the better half of Tom, co-host of the Just Some Podcast show. Together, they discuss the extremely disturbing and shocking story of Wayne Albert Bleyle, a respiratory therapist who had a reputation as an exemplary employee for over two decades at a children's hospital before investigators made a horrific discovery on his home computer. The good RT story is about a man who put his skills to good use when he happened upon a motorcycle accident and was the only medical professional there until EMS arrived.
This week on GNBN, we are starting a new segment after the Good Nurse story. "Not Necessarily Nursing News" is a satire news segment where Tina will read a news article meant to be funny and inciteful. Then she and her guest host will discuss the article and the serious subject matter that goes along with it. This week's "Not Necessarily Nursing News" is brought to you by LiveWell Health. Go to goodnursebadnurse.com and click the link to see ALL of your options for a healthcare plan catered to YOUR needs and budget.

Friday Mar 26, 2021
Friday Mar 26, 2021
This week, Tina is joined by Tom and Ben from the Just Some Podcast for Advanced Practice Nurses podcast. Together, they tell the story of Dr. Richard Schmidt. This is a story that was featured on an episode of Forensic Files. Back in the early nineties, Schmidt developed a relationship with Janice Trahan, a nurse at the hospital where he worked. The problem was both of them were married. They both agreed to leave their respective spouses. Janice followed through with that plan, but Schmidt did not. He wanted to continue the relationship with her, but Janice decided to break things off. This set in motion a series of events that no one could have possibly predicted. They close the show with one of the most heartwarming stories ever talked about on the show. The good doctors are dermatologists who helped a young boy after he was mauled by a German Shepherd while saving his little sister.
