Good Congresswoman Nurse Bad Urologist Ingolf Tuerk
Saturday Nov 13, 2021
Saturday Nov 13, 2021
This week Tina is joined by Mark, her better half and head of all things IT for Good Nurse Bad Nurse. Together they tell the story of Dr. Infgolf Tuerk. A renowned urologist from Brighton, Massachusetts. For years, Tuerk was recognized for his contributions to medicine, worked as the chief of urology, was featured in videos and billboards promoting the hospital, and was loved by all his patients. But it all started to unravel in 2019 when he was investigated for Medicare fraud and fired from the hospital. As he began to spiral downward, his wife took the brunt of his rage and instability which ultimately led to a horrible tragedy.
For the good nurse story, they talk about one of three US Congresswomen serving currently who are nurses. Congresswoman Cori Bush was elected in 2020 to serve Missouri’s 1st Congressional district. She is the first Black woman and first nurse to represent Missouri and the first woman to represent Missouri’s 1st Congressional District. She received a nursing degree from Lutheran University of Nursing in 2019 and spent the next decade serving the community as a nurse, ordained pastor, community organizer, and childcare worker.

Good Just Some Podcast Nurse Bad Neighbor Nurse
Sunday Nov 07, 2021
Sunday Nov 07, 2021
This week Tina is joined by advanced practice nurse, Tom, one-half of the co-host team from Just Some Podcast for Advanced Practitioners. Together they tell the story of nurse Jon Eric Landis. In 2015, 49-year-old Jon Eric Landis had been a nurse for 15 years when he walked over to confront his neighbor about an ongoing dispute. When all was said and done, only one man walked away from the dispute. This is a sad and tragic story of how carrying a gun for self-defense can go horribly wrong. They close the show featuring Tom’s co-host, Ben. Ben is also a nurse practitioner and has so many unbelievable accomplishments, Tina just had to make him the focus of this week’s good nurse story.

Saturday Oct 23, 2021

Good South Florida Doctors Bad Doctor Ronald Mikos
Saturday Oct 09, 2021
Saturday Oct 09, 2021
This week, Tina is joined by Tom and Ben of Just Some Podcast for APRNs. Together, they tell the story of Dr. Ronald Mikos. Dr. Mikos was making between 250 – 300 thousand dollars a year, which was a couple hundred thousand dollars over what other podiatrists were making in the area. When the federal government started interviewing his patients, they discovered he had been billing for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of procedures that seemed suspicious for a foot doctor. He was able to manipulate his patients into lying for him...all but one that is. A disabled and retired nurse refused to play his game and was all set to testify against the doctor until one night just days before the hearing, she was silenced forever. They close the show with the inspiring story of 75 doctors in South Florida who created a united front in order to emphasize the importance of being vaccinated.

Saturday Oct 02, 2021
Saturday Oct 02, 2021
This week Tina is joined by new grad Nurse Jehr! Tina and Jehr tell you the story of Betty Wilson. Betty and Peggy were fraternal twins born in a small town in Alabama in 1945. Both married shortly after finishing high school, Peggy to a Baptist Choirmaster and Betty to a doctor she met in her nursing program. When Betty found her husband dead after a day of self-pampering, Betty and Peggy would find themselves accused of planning the murder. Good UAB Nurses Bad Nurse Rhonda Orr
Saturday Sep 25, 2021
Saturday Sep 25, 2021
This week, Tina is joined by the always funny and entertaining Nurse Jessica Sites. Together they bring you the story of nurse, Rhonda Orr. Rhonda Orr met her husband Jimmy online in 1998. Jimmy’s parents paid for Rhonda to go to nursing school. By 2003, their marriage was falling apart, but they continued to live in the same house while Rhonda was finished school. One morning, Rhonda awoke and ran to the neighbor’s house screaming for help, saying her house was on fire and her husband was trapped inside. Jimmy used a wheelchair to get around due to a childhood illness that caused his legs to be extremely weak. What really happened that night?
For the good nurse, story they discuss the nurses at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital protesting for safe staffing and fair wages. You will definitely want to stick around for this heated conversation this week!
